What is a gas back-up generator and how does it work?
A gas back-up generator is a manual or automatic electrical support system fuelled by liquid petroleum gas (propane) or natural gas (methane). These gasses can be supplied via bottle or bulk storage, or in the case of natural gas, pipeline.
The PRAMAC back-up gas generator monitors your main incoming power supply and automatically start when loss of power is detected. It then communicates with a load transfer switch signaling it to switch the electrical load of your home or business from the utility supply to the generator. This makes the generator your power supply for the duration of the outage.
Once the utility supply is restored, the generator will shut-off and the transfer switch will automatically return your electrical load to the utility supply.
